Ship Position Monitoring and Alarm System (Omega Pte., Ltd. Singapore)
The system use to monitor the ship position using two GPS antennas on a vessel. If any measured data is outside the user defined range, there will be an alarm. We'll use PC alarm. The following is the summary of the software requirement. The system monitors the drifting of the FPSO while at stationary. Two GPS antennae will be installed, one at the bow and one the aft. The known positions of these two points are entered into the system. The entered positions are compared with the real time observed positions to derive the drift distance.
The software allows a user defined tolerance radius to be entered into the system. When the drift distance exceeds the pre-defined radius, text and audio alarm will be initiated.
